Five years ago, I went on one of the most memorable trips of my life: sailing on a catamaran along the Dodecanese island chain in the southeastern Aegean Sea. It was incredible. We set sail from Kos, the second largest Greek island of the Dodecanese, after Rhodes and Karpathos. After discovering that hotelier Thomas Cook recently opened his second property, of the Casa Cook collection, in Kos, I was instantly reminded of the amazing time we spent there. The 100 room boutique hotel is perfectly situated on a long, untouched stretch of the Aegean coast. The polished concrete surfaces combined with the Cubist furniture and rustic details are designed in the style of a old Greek fishing village – a very chic village, at that. I can’t wait to return to Kos someday, if not just to stay at this stunning retreat.
